What are Exosomes?

Exosomes are small nano-sized vesicles that are produced and released by human cells that contain proteins. Once exosomes are secreted or pushed outside a cell they play a crucial roll in cell-to-cell communication with the ability to transfer information and change the behaviour of neighbouring cells.

This intercellular communication can influence:

• Cell regeneration
• Tissue repair
• Skin rejuvenation:
• Increase collagen
• Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
• Increase skin elasticity
• Reduce pore size
• Reduce pigmentation
• Improve skin evenness, quality and texture

The exosomes we use at Face Value contain growth factors, amino acids, peptides, Hyaluronic Acid and other active skincare ingredients. We commonly apply exosomes in conjunction with microneedling to facilitate the direct delivery of active ingredients beneath the epidermis. This process significantly enhances the skin’s capacity to absorb active substances while minimising the loss or wastage of these valuable components by opening channels in the skin barrier.

We also use exosomes in combination with Morpheus8 Radio frequency needling to further enhance treatment outcomes by promoting tissue repair, collagen production and overall skin rejuvenation.

Results are visible from 28 days and most effective after a treatment cycle of 3 treatments. 3-4 treatments are recommended, spaced 4 weeks apart.

Exosomes for Hair Restoration

We also offer exosomes as part of a hair restoration programme. Exosomes help the proliferation of hair follicles, accelerate the hair growth cycle, increase hair density, and help protect the follicle cells from damage caused by things such as stress and hormones. We recommend four treatments spaced two weeks apart.
