About LightSheer Laser Treatment
A laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted by the LightSheer™ diode laser is well absorbed by the pigment located in hair follicles. During the procedure, the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, long enough to heat up the hair and significantly impede the follicle’s ability to regrow. This process also treats numerous hair follicles simultaneously. Therefore, LightSheer™ is appropriate for treating even the largest areas of the body both quickly and effectively.
An important part of the procedure is the cooling of the skin. A special contact-cooling handpiece allows your physician to treat even the most sensitive skin. It protects and cools the upper layer of the skin before, during and after each laser pulse while directing the laser energy to the hair root.

Botulinum toxin type A (Botox ®

After injecting a small volume of local
anaesthetic, the lesion is shaved back to
a natural flat level using a tungsten electrode.
The surgitron both cuts and cauterises,
allowing surgery virtually without
bleeding.
A specimen is sent to the laboratory
for histological examination with the results
sent to your general practitioner.
This procedure is ideal for removal of
raised moles, skin tags, and senile and
seborrhoeic keratoses.
The procedure offers a quick, cost effective
means of removal of these lesions, rarely
leaving scars.
Facial Veins:
Most facial veins
are caused by solar damage to the skin.
There is often a genetic predisposition
to their development.
The surgitron (radiofrequency device)
is an ideal and cost effective way of diminishing
unsightly veins. Generally each session
last around twenty minutes, and a course
of 3 to 5 sessions is usually required.
At a fraction of the cost of laser or
IPL therapies, it is a very attractive option.
Thread Veins:
Sclerotherapy
is a safe and effective way of eliminating
unsightly spider and painful varicose veins,
giving legs an even and youthful appearance.
During the treatment a solution of Sclerovein®
or sotradechol (detergent sclerosants) will
be injected directly into the veins with
a tiny needle. The sclerosing solution causes
the vein to blanche (turn white), and then
gradually disappear. Because blood flow
is shifted to other healthy veins nearby,
sclerotherapy actually improves the circulation
in your legs.
Injection sclerotherapy may eliminate
the need for an invasive surgical procedure.
A few areas on each leg can be treated during
a session. Usually, a number treatments will
be necessary to treat all existing veins.
An entire treatment takes no longer than
thirty minutes. After the treatment you
can walk out with no discomfort. It is recommended
that clients wear compression stockings
for one week following treatment to improve
the outcome and minimise complications. |
